The Challenge:

Since the start, DTC founder and ecommerce operator James Reina has taken great care to maintain Jibby’s Coffee brand identity through the creative design of their products and their online store. At the same time, the importance of growing conversions and delivering a stunning user experience to site visitors is a major part of his philosophy for growing the brand.

Trying to achieve both on Shopify’s page builder, however, was difficult. Shopify themes were easy to use and quick to pick up, but were often limited in their range of detailed customization and control functions.

If a user wanted to push the functionality of Shopify beyond what was readily available, they had to learn Shopify Liquid in order to tailor the site, as James did. It got the job done, but it wasn’t a quick and sustainable solution for scaling his brand.
